About Castor Oil FSG
Castor Oil First Special Grade (FSG) is the benchmark commercial grade of refined castor oil and the most widely traded castor grade out of India. Biodyne supplies FSG in bulk to formulators, compounders and trading houses, with each consignment backed by a batch Certificate of Analysis before dispatch.
FSG is produced from cleaned, dehulled castor seed that is mechanically expelled and then degummed, neutralised, bleached and polish-filtered. The result is a clear, pale-yellow oil with a low acid value and consistent hydroxyl content - the properties that matter when the oil feeds a downstream reaction or a regulated formulation.
Typical order sizes run from a single 200 kg drum for trials up to full 22-24 MT flexi tank loads for production. Sampling before contract is available on request.

Used as a carrier and excipient base where low acidity and a consistent hydroxyl value are required, and as a feedstock for pharma-grade derivatives.

What is the difference between FSG and Pale Pressed Grade castor oil?
Both are refined castor oils. Pale Pressed Grade (PPG) is lighter in colour (typically 10 Y + 1 R against 20 Y + 2 R for FSG) and is chosen where final product colour matters. FSG is the standard commercial grade and covers most industrial, pharma and cosmetic uses.
